The Last King (Movie, 2016)

Based on King Haakon IV in 1200s Norway. Most thrilling part is the chase over the mountain, not on horseback but on wood skis! Seeing them zip around on cross country skis even in battle is amazing and unusual. Today's annual skiing event "Birkebeinerrennet" commemorates that Chase. The pristine beauty of Norway really shines forth, from the mountain farms and snow covered slopes of Lillehammer, site of the 1994 Winter Olympics.
