The Stoning of Soraya M. (2008, Movie)

This is a very powerful movie and also a very emotionally moving story. The most compelling component of this film was its true-based story of a woman who unwaveringly loved her children, lacked a voice, any rights, or support from anyone who wasn't female. Thankfully, Soraya's aunt bravely jeopardizes her own life by divulging Soraya's story to a French-Iranian journalist describing her niece's life involving an abusive and unfaithful husband.

This film is not about Islam but about man's inhumanity to man and for people of faith. It is a film that should make you ask yourself, "How can God forgive us for what we do to each other in the name of faith."

從吃開始，是改變健康生活的基礎。多吃蔬果、少吃肉，多喝水、多運動，正常排便。這些都是相當基本的保健法則，但是卻不是每個人都能輕易做到。因為，不光「多」就夠了，而是要有品質的攝取。

這本書"前三分之二"的部分, 內容屬於醫學研究的部分，對於人的健康有很大的幫助，也讓我學到不少新的、正確的觀念。但後三分之一的部分完全是"置入性行銷"，隔幾頁就請一個醫生講解（背書）關於"乳酸菌生成萃取液"的神奇效果，但真的是很貴！

Crazy Heart (2009, Movie)

Jeff Bridges certainly deserved the Oscar for his just outstanding acting as Bad Blake, alcoholic, womanizer, no longer popular Country Western (CW) singer, making the rounds with his old school music act at places like bowling alleys.

Overall, Crazy Heart is a delightful movie of despair and redemption, with outstanding acting, and the script is not that plausible though.

Full Metal Jacket (1987, Movie)

A few critics have claimed that this movie is really two movies. The first being about Marine boot camp at Paris Island and the other half strictly about experience in the Vietnam War. One of the most authentic depictions of warfare ever put on the big screen, the film teems with howling madness, stark images and troubling questions about duty, honor and sacrifice.

Mike Loo's Wedding at Richard Nixon Library

Right before attending Mike & Chi's wedding ceremony, we spent brief touring at the Richard Nixon's Museum and garden. In addition to Nixon's birth place, Pat's rose garden, there was even a real Marine one helicopter dedicated to late President Nixon. It was a quaint place.

The wedding ceremony was cozy and fashioned. I could tell Jean and Joe were very happy and tired. The newly wed are lovely and full of energy. Congratulations to the couple!

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947, Movie)

Before the very first frame of this picture begins you are clued in to the magnitude of what is to come through the powerful and beautiful score by Bernard Herrman and the first visual of the English coastline. With little finances Lucy decides to move to White Cliff, a quaint little seaside town and sets her heart on living in Gull Cottage. The apparition of Captain, Daniel Gregg, unable to scare Lucy away, decides to co-exist with her. This is a uniquely warm hearted FANTASY/ROMANCE written with witty dialogue and interspersed with humor. Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison star as mismatched lovers. This 1947 film was based on a 1945 novel by R.A. Dick and screenplay by Phillip Dunne.
