Project Almanac (Movie, 2015)

Had the movie not used the "hand held camera" for filming, it would have been pretty good. This method of filming should never be used again. This method of filming added nothing to the show except a headache for me. The story line doesn't make much sense either.

Seventh Son (Movie, 2015)

This is about a warrior mentor (Jeff Bridges), grooming the seventh son of the seventh son (Ben Barnes) to be a witch slayer and combatant of general evil. Jeff Bridges does a really bad Gandalf impression throughout, not even Julianne Moore can save this turkey. Kind of campy fun.

Jupiter Ascending (Movie, 2015)

An expensive mess. So in the near future, Earth is on the verge of becoming aware that there is life outside of Earth. This is about a young woman (Mila Kunis) who discovers that she is actually intergalactic nobility, and that she must figure out how to save Earth from a destructive alien industry. For being the most important person in the universe, our protagonist is pretty worthless, and it is never fully revealed just what makes her so special.

The Wachowskis basically resembles every other bland, boring big budget sci fi spectacular made in the last few years; lots of world building and technobabble, but devoid of any sort of interesting story or characters.

It's a gala ceremony in honoring of all Employees of the Year 2014. I was invited as a guest of hubby. On top of that, our lunch tickets were purchased by his CEO Terry Carter. What an honor!

I even had a chance to take a picture with Police Chief Charlie Beck. How exciting!
