Pete Seeger has had quite a life. He sang with Woody Guthrie, fought for civil rights and the right to organize, joined the Communist Party and left it, heavily influenced the environmental movement,and did more to popularize folk music than anyone else by far. Seeger was blacklisted for many years and the FBI dogged his every move and would only let him play children's concerts in the 1950's. These children grew up in the 1960's and changed everything.
Pete Seeger's story is inspiring and uplifting.
