Gravity (2013, Movie)

There was no reason for the separation of Clooney & Bullock when she's hanging from the parachute cords--they are at rest relative to the space station. There was NO reason for George to sacrifice himself...he was stationary with respect to the station and letting him go would not have given him thrust from her...just dumb.
